CANNES DAY 1.) Mallika, Uday attend screening of ‘Grace of Monaco’ at Festival de Cannes 2014.

The first day of the 67th Cannes International Film Festival saw two Indian celebrities attending the international gala. While one was Uday Chopra, who presented his first ever Hollywood co-production ‘Grace of Monaco’, Mallika Sherawat also walked the red carpet to attend the premiere of the biopic.
Dressed in a blue lace gown, this has to be Mallika’s most decent outfit at the international gala, which started May 14. She looked gorgeous in the Emilio Pucci gown, which accentuated her perfect curves.
The actress, who made her Cannes debut in 2005, has often been criticised for her choice of outfits, which ranged from a black lace see-through gown to a nude coloured gown with high neck and low back.
In her debut appearance itself, Mallika was criticised for her over exposing look in a thigh-high slit lehenga-skirt and choli.
But, looking at her outfit on Day 1, we are sure Mallika has upped her game and the spectators are in for a surprise.
For Uday, it was a disappointing start as his film 'Grace of Monaco' was panned by the critics at an advance press screening earlier in the day.
While the Guardian said it was a 'disastrous catastrophe', the Telegraph UK has called it 'as dramatically inert as Nicole Kidman's cheek muscles'.
Unlike his funny avatar that we are used to seeing in Bollywood films, Uday outdid himself and looked dapper in the black suit. He was spotted walking the red carpet with Nicole Kidman, Tim Roth, Paz Vega, director Olivier Dahan, Jeanne Balibar and French producer Pierre Ange Le Pogam.
The 41-year-old will again be seen on the red carpet during the screening of ‘Titli’, whicch is another YRF co-production with Dibakar Banerjee Productions, in the prestigious UN CERTAIN REGARD section.
Later in the evening, Uday tweeted from Cannes saying,"Here's to Grace".

Udya Chopra made his debut appearance at the 67th Cannes International Film Festival, but unfortunately his first Hollywood co-production was panned by the critics at the prestigious festival.
The 41-year-old, who is leading YRF Entertainment, the international wing of Yash Raj Films, stepped out in the French Riviera sunshine to co-present ‘Grace of Monaco’, a biopic based on American actress Grace Kelly, who became Princess Grace of Monaco when she married Prince Rainier III in 1956.
‘Grace of Monaco’, featuring Nicole Kidman and Tim Roth, which will open the 67th Festival de Cannes on Wednesday night, received a fair share of negative reviews during the advance press screening.
The Guardian says it is a 'disastrous catastrophe', and the Telegraph UK has called it 'as dramatically inert as Nicole Kidman's cheek muscles'.
Uday was spotted with the cast of the movie during a photocall for the film. He was seen posing with Kidman, Roth, Paz Vega, director Olivier Dahan, Jeanne Balibar and French producer Pierre Ange Le Pogam.
He will also be seen during the screening of ‘Titli’, yet another YRF co-production with Dibakar Banerjee Productions, in the prestigious UN CERTAIN REGARD section.
